This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information about visitors and users of the Site. By using the Site or submitting information through any form, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information when you use the Site:

Information you provide directly. When you fill out a quote-request form, contact form, or other form on the Site, we collect personal information that may include your first and last name, email address, telephone number, ZIP code, age, household size, tobacco use, and any other details you submit. Some forms may collect additional health-related questions necessary to match you with appropriate insurance plans.

Information we collect automatically. When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain technical information about your device and browsing activity, including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, time and date of visits, and approximate geographic location (derived from IP address). We collect this information through cookies, web beacons, server logs, and analytics tools such as Google Analytics.

Information from third parties. We may receive information about you from licensed insurance agents, brokers, lead network partners, identity verification services, and other third parties that we work with to deliver and improve our service.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To match you with licensed insurance agents and brokers in your state who can present plan options
  • To share your information with our lead network partners and licensed insurance partners so that they may contact you about plans you may be eligible for
  • To respond to your inquiries and communicate with you about your request
  • To verify the accuracy of information submitted through our forms and prevent fraudulent submissions
  • To improve, personalize, and analyze the performance of the Site and its content
  • To send you marketing communications about health insurance and related topics, where permitted by law and your consent
  • To comply with applicable legal obligations and respond to lawful requests from public authorities
  • To protect our rights, property, or the safety of our users or others

How We Share Your Information

We share information we collect in the following circumstances:

Licensed insurance agents and brokers. When you submit a form requesting a quote or information, we share your contact information and the details you provided with one or more licensed insurance agents, brokers, or insurance companies who are authorized to contact you about plan options. These agents are independent third parties and have their own privacy practices.

Lead network partners. We work with marketplace and lead network partners (including but not limited to EverQuote, MediaAlpha, GoHealth, and similar networks) that route your information to licensed agents and carriers. These partners are bound by their own privacy policies and applicable law.

Service providers. We share information with vendors and service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as website hosting, analytics, email delivery, security, and customer support. These service providers are authorized to use the information only to perform the services we have engaged them to provide.

Legal compliance and protection. We may disclose information if required to do so by law, in response to a valid subpoena or court order, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, the safety of our users or the public, or to investigate suspected fraud or other illegal activity.

Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Aggregated or de-identified information. We may share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you for any purpose.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for monetary consideration in a manner that requires opt-out under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), except that the disclosure of your contact information to lead network partners and licensed agents in exchange for compensation may, depending on interpretation, be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under certain state laws. See the “California Residents” section below for your rights.
